What is their main function?
The main function of the Coton de Tulear is as a professional pet. The Coton is mainly and foremost a COMPANION dog. Anyone who does not understand this word in its entirety should not consider taking a Coton as a pet. The Coton can be prone to anxiety stress if left alone for long periods of time. This is something a potential owner should seriously consider before deciding on this breed.
Any longer than a couple of hours on daily basis other than night time is not acceptable and not fair.
