What is the coat type?
The Coton de Tulear has long, cotton like hair which is dry to the touch. The feel of the coat is like Cotton wool as the breed name suggests.  The hair does, however, tangle quite easily. This can vary in degrees from puppy to puppy depending on the coat passed down from the parents etc.
Some coats can be pretty thick and the easiest to look after, but then you can have a dog that does not have the thickness and is the most time consuming coat to look after.
