A diary of our Cotons and puppies

Below are entries from our diary. We try to update this as regularly as possible to give you an insight into the everyday lives of our Cotonborne Cotons.

Rossi at 3 years old - 6th April, 2008

From the first days he came here, Rossi is a real character with a huge, loving, cheeky personality.

He has his own language that I have got used to knowing what it is he is trying to tell me, from ' The water bowl is empty and I need a drink' to 'I want to be up on your lap'  Or being so switched on........he has seen me put some titbit in his bowl for later, and he sits in front of the kitchen side where his bowl is sitting, looking at it and making loud' I want it now' noises.
This does not work, but he still tries to get me to give it to him : ))

He talks to me every day and depending on the depth or high pitch in his voice i can tell the urgency, request or demand ; )

This is a pic of him when he first came to us aged 9-10 weeks.

He sits under my desk by my feet everyday, then follows me through to the lounge on an evening when we settle in front of the T.V
If he is looking for my attention, he first puts his head on my lap asking to come up to sit with me. If this does not work, and it will not always..........he will then go and sit in front of the TV. If this does not work, he will then lie down in front of us on the carpet......usually on his back...throwing his paws in the air and rocking his head from side to side making lots of noise, stopping every now and then to see if we are watching him yet..........

We do have rules, having 4 dogs living with us, but I must admit Rossi can get away with a little more..............sometimes ; )

Here is an example of how he looks when he tilts his head onto my lap as we sit on the settee, trying to get me to pick him up...........I dare anyone to try to resist his cheeky cute face : )
