About us

"Welcome" to our website which we hope will be of interest to new Coton adoptees and prospectives alike! We have been involved with our Cotons since early 2001, 'JD' being our first pet male and the rest have followed as they can do in Cotonworld!

In the beginning.... we had just moved into a small first floor flat and missed having the 4 legged companions we had before. We were also in the early stages of starting a mail-order internet business (importing and exporting motorcycle parts) from a small office and wondered what sort of canine companion would suit our new life.

Debbie scanned the internet looking at breeds and came across a description of the Coton De Tulear. Totally intrigued and fallen for this breed without seeing what they looked like, she researched some more and managed to find a breeder who lived locally. Fate was on our side, a puppy was available and once we were confirmed new owners we visited our puppy every two weeks to watch him develop. we brought him home once he was old enough to his new life with us and have been hooked ever since.

Our business was successfully growing and we moved into a large house big enough to run the business from home, then fate again led us to having our first fantastic female 'Angel' from the Cotonbrie kennel in Italy. She produced our first litter of 4 girls in December 2003.

We have since added another little male from Cotonalba kennel we called Rossi (namesake Valentino Rossi the motorcycle champion) who has been into the show ring courtesy of Jim and Maggie of Cotonalba Cotons. As I write this, one of his puppies born April 2006 is well on his way to becoming our first Coton with his Irish Championship. He has been awarded Annual Champion status 2007 by the IKC, and we are hoping his International Championship will awarded to him in 2008.
